Shojo Beats all!

My first issue of Shojo Beat hits the stands this week, as illustrated by the ever adorable Tristan Crane. A little nervous to see what the Beatniks think of the change in tone… it isn’t as pronounced this issue as it is in the following ones, and WHOO - the January issue? WILL BRING THE ROCK. Also nervous in a “what if they don’t even notice a difference?” way… nnng. |

I checked it out at Barnes & Noble today, and I gotta say, I love Urban Decay and I almost got Heat eyeshadow. Instead I got Fishnet. (ok, obviously I’m a sucker for the how to apply makeup tips)
I digress…nice job. : )

I had no idea and was totally surprised when I opened my most recent Shojo Beat to see your name after Magazine Managing Editor! Congrats!

I meant to say something, but forgot until now: I dunno if mags over there are like here, but a reader won’t notice anything about a magazine’s change of direction for at least six months. Unless it is as obvious as doing it all in Gold ink, anyway.
