Had a pretty awesome weekend, all around. Friday night, dinner with mah sober peeps, then went and saw HOT FUZZ. I enjoyed the hell out of that. Saturday, I put my new drawing table together ALL BY MY SELF. I feel terribly proud. Then I had sushi with Shena, and it was good… man, I have to qualify that, and I feel like such a snob. But… It was pretty good for KCMO. I know, I know, I am so hella spoiled, but… DUDE! I COME FROM THE LAND OF AWESOME SUSHI! Oh, punk rock dyke sushi, I miss you ever so…
Sunday day was all cleaning and painting of shelving, and Sunday night was… awesome. Went to see Animal Collective in Lawrence with Hipster Tom, Miss C, and Library Boy. The band was ok (not super my cuppa, but good nonetheless), but… yeah, Restaurant Crush has been supplanted. Library Boy kinda rocks.

Spring is here, with a vengance. It’s beautiful out, and my eyes itch. I take Bunny on very long walks, and I feel like I am really getting to know my neighborhood. Also, I am finding that KC is a small town in some great ways - I run into people I know all the time, which makes me feel like… well, like I live here. Like this is where I really live. I’m not just visiting.
I think this is a good thing.

Ok, back to penciling pages. On the drawing board I put together ALL BY MYSELF, AWWWW, YEAH!

    I’m just talking here, but I think that if you watch Bad Boys II, you may like it a lot more after seeing Hot Fuzz. Maybe that was just my experience.
